Student Progress - Report Cards/Honor Roll

Student Progress

In an effort to keep parents informed about student progress, the following measures are used:

    1. Report cards will be issued four times a year2. Daily work is sent home.
    2. Weekly-signed papers.
    3. Notes, phone calls and conferences as needed.
    4. Fifth week progress reports.


Report Cards

Report cards will be issued to students at the end of each nine-week grading period. Report cards will contain both academic and conduct grades as well as attendance. Report cards must be signed by the parents and and returned to the classroom teacher. The Dothan City Schools' grading scale is as follows:

A Outstanding 92-100

B Good 83-91

C Satisfactory 74-82

D Below Average 65-73

F Failure Below 65

Honor Rolls

An honor roll will be published and honor roll certificates will be presented at the end of each nine-week grading period. Students must have all A's and B's on their report card to be eligible for honor roll each nine weeks. All A honor roll must have an A in conduct. A/B honor roll must have at least a B in conduct. Students making a C in any subject are not eligible for honor roll.
